ICBS Promotes Multidisciplinary Research

The ICBS center aims to conduct, provide support, and promote multidisciplinary research in biomedical and related fields, within Mahidol university especially as inter-institutional collaboration. A problem-based multidisciplinary research required expertise from various backgrounds including medicine, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, and mathematics.

In December 2011, the ICBS center has discussed a prospective collaboration with researchers from Ramathibodi Hospital, to focus on two major areas: human genetic diseases, and healthcare information management system. More details will be officially announced to due course.

Saluting ladies in lab coats: L'Oreal-Unesco award for Women in Science

L'Oreal and Unesco team up to recognise the groundbreaking contributions of female scientists. This year's fellowships in the life science category were awarded to Dr. Natini Jinawath from the research centre at the faculty of medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, for her study of genome-wide single nucleotide polymorphism array as a clinical diagnostic tool for unexplained developmental disabilities and congenital anomalies.

Dr. Varodom Charoensawan wins Thesis Awards for 2011

Mahidol University faculty members and researchers in diverse fields were among the recipients of awards from National Research Council of Thailand in all four categories: national outstanding researchers, research, thesis and invention.
